Snow in North Carolina!

Ok, Ok, so after the last few months of me bragging about the warm 70 deg weather has been here, well yesterday night it SNOWED! A couple of inches! By morning the roads were just slush because it started raining, but it did last most of the day on the grass yesterday. This is a big deal here apparently, because yes school was cancelled. And with it looking like this (yesterday at 2pm), they still did a TWO HOUR late start on school today! Go figure! It is way too funny to me that school is cancelled for this! But I guess this is the south after all, and they don't even have blades on their trucks, just salt. So they salt, and salt, and salt...

It can't be good for our cars so luckily it doesn't seem to snow very often. But when it does, it causes quite the buzz with people running to the stores for milk, eggs, and bread (yes, seriously)..What is even more ironic is that most of the people here are not from here originally. Most of them are from different places that presumably they would be used to snow, and driving in it! New Jersey, New York, Illinois. I just think it is comical that the world shuts down here for this much snow!
