Niels' friend Anthony from Illinois was able to come and visit with Niels for a whole week! The two of them headed off to Mount Mitchell to go camping. Mount Mitchell is the highest peak east of the Mississippi River. Who knew such high peaks would be found in North Carolina? I sure didn't!
It was pretty cold up there, but certainly was not near as bad as it could have been. The weekend before they were there it was 18 degrees! While they were there it was in the 40's or high 30's, so not too bad. They also visited Asheville and got out of there just before another large storm rolled in! Great timing guys!
