A Weekend Away

Our 9th Anniversary was in December. For my gift to Niels I bought tickets to see David Wilcox in Washington, NC. Washington is a very small town sort of near the coast and the theatre was a small historical theater that had recently been restored.
I had my first ever time golfing. Niels and I did 9 holes at a municipal golf course in Greenville. We ate at the local restuarants (yummy food!) and on the way out of the golf course we stopped and picked strawberries at a local farm to bring home to the boys. (They loved them)

I always forget how QUIET it is when there are no kids around. I finished an entire book in a day and a half! Niels took a 2 hour nap on Saturday. It was very nice to get away!

I know I don't have a single picture of the two of us, or even me. Like usual I had the camera but I really should of had someone take a picture of us together!

Looking out at the inlet. It looks like it is a mixture of sea and freshwater. We were still a good 100 mile from the ocean though.

Looks like fun. One day Cy and I will go on a vacation again. :) I am glad you were able to get away. How did the boys do?

How fun! How did you do on your first time golfing?
Why the heck didn't you just make the extra 100 mile drive and see the ocean! You are a crazy woman!!!
I ended up buying a mini tripod to take on trips with us, because we never had pictures with both of us! I hate always asking people to take our picture. Now we just look stupid standing in front of the camera on a stick. ;)

Jealous! I didn't even want to read the post that was titled "a weekend away", but I did.

Congrats on 9 years! You make me more determined to do something when 11 comes around this December.

Looks like fun and good weather!
