Late Truck, a visit to the Dr's and a bump!

Does this kid look sick to you? Yeah he didn't seem sick to me either. Boy was I wrong! He had 102 fever for a couple days before we left on this trip but was doing better so we decided to go. While there he ended up spiking a fever again. We didn't know it until Saturday afternoon when after playing with friends from the neighborhood he came home crying telling Niels his ear hurt. He then proceeded to lay down on an old blanket in the den in his sopping wet clothes (they were playing in the water) and fell asleep. He woke up crying again and completely miserable. Took his temp again and it was back up to 101! At this point I decided to take him to the doctor. He slept there, he slept through his appointment (almost whacked his head on the scale!). Double ear infection. Go figure. Poor kid didn't wake up until 6:30am the next morning. 4pm-6:30am? I DREAM about a night I could get that much rest! He is on the mend now and doing much better!
Here is the moving van with the perfect loading ramp..our steep driveway. The driveway has been a no go for a lot of the people that have looked at the house. It's not THAT bad is it? Apparently it is!
We were supposed to pick up the van Friday afternoon and it wasn't there! After about a billion phone calls to Uhaul we were hopeful but not feeling postitive that we hadn't wasted our whole trip because we wouldn't have a truck! Fortunately it did come through on Saturday morning. That put us back a half a day for loading things.

And lastly while Aricin was crying and sleeping in the den before I took him to the Doctor I was out getting boxes. I had the thermometer with me and it had flown off the seat and fallen under my seat. I was on my way back to the hotel to get Aricin some dry clothes. I stopped behind a white van (in pretty tough shape that was missing a window already and banged up) kept my foot on the brake, reached down and got it only to come up and I am RIGHT next to this van. I didn't feel any impact or movement, but this guy said I hit him... So now we have to do the whole insurance thing...yippe skippy... I mean really??? He tried to show me the damage but I guess I just couldn't see it through the rest of the marks!

And to top it all off on Sunday as I am moving and then cleaning I start feeling ill. I drove 6 hours not feeling well. Yep, Aricin gave me his 102 fever and extremely sore throat which I am still recovering from.

Yeah, what a weekend. But I am happy that everything is home. Now it just looks liked we've moved in, again..because technically we have! Off to sorting!
