Flooding...

So I have been gone out of town for a week, but before I left this happened the first day week of school. Imagine a small trickle of a stream and it became this....

The pictures don't really do it justice but it was almost over the top of a 6ft panel livestock gate and about 20 ft or more wide. Our whole nature preserve and trails were underwater. Roads were flooded and for the first time ever in my lifetime school was cancelled..for rain...not snow not ice, tornadoes, but for a rainstorm! I can't complain though we came out ok no floods in our house and we certainly needed the rain!
I should be updating my other blog soon about my trip to Colorado with Kris and friends and I will also put part of the trip on here with baby pics etc!

Wow, that's a little scary. Where in Colorado did you go if I had known I could have waved as you drove by :)

I am so in the dark. I didn't even realize there was flooding in your neck of the woods. See how often I watch the news. I should have known and been a concerned family member. I'm sure you are enjoying your vacation without little ones in tow
