Nothing to Write

Wow, I just don't have anything to write about. I've been racking my brain trying to figure out if we've done anything interesting lately to blog about. Nope. Hmm, am I really THAT boring? Yep. 

But here is what has been going on lately.

Christian has been taking some kind of state test for math for the last 2 days. When that kid gets home all he wants to do is PLAY! He was so stressed out about it that his stomach has been hurting. Hmm, wonder where he gets that from? (me). I know I know, stressing doesn't do a thing to help any situation but still I can't help it. And apparently, neither can he. He did really well though, told me he got 100%. 

Aricin is thoroughly enjoying his playschool this sememster. His teacher Ms. Peggy is awesome! They are learning so much, letters, numbers, even memorizing nursery rhymes. Aricin is beaming every time I come to pick him up. She is such a great teacher! Aricin also wrote a word  by himself on our whiteboard a couple days ago. I was so proud of him!

Niels is still working, which is a good thing given these tough times. He is however working  a lot. Most nights he isn't home until after 7pm. 6:30 is early now! But we are still grateful that he has a job beings how his company laid off quite a few people right before Christmas.

Our house in IL still hasn't sold but the new agent is doing a great job with it and at least getting some people through it. So progress in the right direction. We could use some extra prayers on this end!

I am looking at going back to work full time to help with some of the costs from having 2 houses. Who knows it might be a futile effort on my part (trying to find a job in such tough times) but at least I feel like I am trying. I am also still working at the barn both cleaning and taking care of horses to help pay for that addiction! LOL 

The boys both have next Monday (MLK day), Thursday & Friday (teacher work days) off. I am looking forward to spending some extra time with them and who knows, maybe we'll be able to do something fun too!

It has been COLD here. It is supposed to get into the single digits this weekend! Of course it is my weekend to work at the barn. In the FREEZING cold. North Carolina isn't supposed to be THIS cold! Brr! I don't like it when it doesn't get above 45 in the day! I know, a lot of you are way worse off in the cold but I am cold blooded! Freezing!
