Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens

Aricin in the Orchid Conservatory. Very pretty. Also very HOT & even more HUMID if such a thing is possible in NC!

This is where I tried to take a picture of the spider looking Orchid. It is creepy!

This is me next to the Chocolate tree! YUMMMMMMM!!! I mean, who wouldn't want their picture taken next to the tree that produces one of the most yummy treats on this earth?

Ok so it's been a month since Kris and mom came here and I am still trying to post everything that we did together! This entry is the last formal "outing" we had to the Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens! WOW what a pretty place! Of course mom loved it. The kids definitely loved it. There were banana trees, and all sorts of other plants that they just loved to see! Orchids galore. Even creepy ones that looked like a spider. It was hot outside and humid but we braved it and enjoyed all of this HUGE and beautiful place! It was well worth the visit, and the kids LOVED running through the fountain in the background. So did I!

I love fountains like that, so much fun and not just for the kids :) Congrats on getting out of the house and doing so much with your family while they visited.

sounds like you had a great visit! It's always so fun when family comes and so sad when they have to leave!

I wanna grow a chocolate tree :)
