It pretty much rained here all weekend. It was cold too, in the 30's. My horsey playdate got cancelled because of the rain. I had traded my regular Saturday shift so I could attend the horsey playdate but since it was cancelled I got to stay home. Then Sunday I worked in the rain at the barn and it was cold and very wet! I felt sorry for the pasture boarded horses as they had had 2 days of nonstop rain with freezing temperatures plus it was to turn to snow Sunday night. They were all shivering pretty badly. And boy did it turn to snow! We got at least 4 inches of snow, and the roads were a mess! Think frozen slushie from all that rain with another 4 inches of fluffy snow on top of that! Of course school was cancelled. And today it is cancelled again when originally we were going to have a 2 hour delayed start. I can't figure out why it is cancelled today because it all melted and the roads even in our neighborhood look free and clear. So below is a pic of our backyard yesterday morning. It could have almost reminded me of Utah! And the other pic is of the boys enjoying their Christmas play-doh set. I've been saving that one for a rainy day and boy did we get them! Thankfully they have been occupied for hours doing play-doh! Here's hoping that school isn't cancelled yet again tomorrow as well. And now I am wondering when the make-up days will be? A Saturday again? Or will they take it off their spring break? We'll probably know by the end of the week.
And even with the snow I was proud of myself for running yesterday. I tried the roads but they were really bad, so I headed down to the nature preserve trail which was the absolute perfect place to run. No one had been down there and ours was the first set of snowprints on the trail. I love that, running in the freshly fallen snow. Plus it wasn't icy at all because the trails are dirt underneath. Perfect running weather and Tarzan was extra frisky on the trail!

I think you've gotten more snow then us :) We have yet to have a snow day just one late start.
