Northwest Cabarrus Park

Here are some pictures from our family outing to the local park. Very fun park with 2 playgrounds, walking trails and a large pond.  We had a good time and even took the dog! (See picture of Calinda walking Tarzan)
It was much enjoyed although hot. We also had the goodyear blimp, and about 4 fighter jets flying in formation fly right over us as it was race weekend!  So that was a first for all of us. We ended our Memorial Day weekend on Monday by going to the pool again. The boys just can't seem to get enough of the pool! It is still pretty cold to me even though the air temperature has been around 85 degrees. If the pool was about 5 degrees warmer it would be nice. But we've been told that by midsummer they are spraying the water from the pool through hoses across the air to cool down the water. That is a scary thought that it will get that warm.

looks like you had a fun weekend. I wish we were having more hot wheather up here. At least warm. All weekend it was sunny, but very chilly still. We went to the lake cabin and I didn't put a short sleeve shirt or pants on the whole time. Oh well, now that memorial day is over it will warm up for sure.
