What is it with the roads lately?

So jokingly 2 days ago I told Niels to up my life insurance policy because of recent road hazards that have crossed my path in the course of one week!

1. Driving our van I was stopped at a light to go straight. A semi truck turning left from the opposite way of travel cut his turn WAY too close and about took me, Aricin and Niels mom (Sharon) out. Even though it wasn't a busy road I still had to look to back up meanwhile this guy is literally 2 inches from taking my hood out. Then, he continues to keep going even though I am not totally out of his way but still backing up!

2. Calinda, Aricin, and I are traveling on the freeway where they have recently paved just one lane leaving a big bump in the road between the lanes. We are in the right lane and a semi truck is changing from the right lane to the left and passing us from behind. As he goes up the bump, one of his tires blows out (really loud) and he just keeps on driving. I had to stop to check that it wasn't our tires first. That scared all of us pretty bad.

3. Later that same day I am driving on the same freeway when a truck in front of me loses a bigt metal bar off the back. I swerved, but barely missed it

4. The next day I am driving to Raleigh when a car in front of me hits a piece of loose broken tire and it comes flying at my windshield. I ducked thinking for sure it was going to come right through and hit me.

5.  And to top it off a couple of week prior to all these I am following what looks like a pretty new pick up truck, he's driving pretty fast for the road we are on. We are driving along when suddenly he swerves sharply for no reason about 3 feet off the road, just enough to tear off and shatter his right rear view mirror on a huge telephone pole. The kicker? He didn't even tap his brakes just swerved back and kept on driving really fast!

How does that saying go? Never drive faster than your guardian angels can fly? Well I feel like I haven't been driving faster than they can catch the things coming at me lately! Seriously it is making me paranoid to drive, especially on the freeway!

Holy cow! I'd just stop driving. Seriously glad you're OK.
