Today I went running and made it without stopping for 7 1/2 minutes (while pushing Aricin too!). A small accomplishment since I used to be able to run 40-45 minutes without stopping twice a week. (But it was a big accomplishment in my program now) But progress! I have been walking a lot more lately, trying to get out a total of 4 times a week. I have been adding in small bursts (say 30 seconds to about a minute and a half) of running for the last few weeks. The last time I tried to run I made it about 3 1/2 minutes, so 7 1/2 is double what I was able to do last week! I am SO excited to be back on my way to running and getting back into shape. I feel so much better when I exercise consistently. I am still amazed how how hard it is for me to build up my cardio and how easy it is to lose it all. It's only been 7 months since we moved and I quit exercising because I lost my running buddies and have had an extremely long battle with shin splints. Shouldn't it count that I was consistent for at least a year and a half before that? Wouldn't it be nice if it worked that way? I sure think so.

Congratulation!, I'm just impressed when I can walk for 7 1/2 minutes :)
Keep working at it. You'll be surprised at how fast you build back up your cardio to 40 minutes of running at a time. It will be no time at all. It's only been since January 7th since I started running 3-4miles thinking that was a long run and only 2 short months later I am running 7-8 miles now consistently. Just keep working at it and you'll be back in shape in no time
Lisa...way to go! I too, just started running again...one mile made me limp for 2 days! I miss running with you and Tarzan.
